International Student Waiver
The tuition waivers and residency classifications document contains information on tuition waivers, residency classifications and the Running Start Program that may be applicable to students enrolling in Washington state's community and technical colleges.
Waiver Purpose
Waiver of nonresidential tuition differential for foreign students.
Fee pay status: 38
Community colleges may waive all or a portion of the nonresident differential for foreign students. Participation is limited to 100 full-time students each year. Priority should be given to exchange students. The number of waivers given shall not exceed the number of the college’s own students enrolled in study abroad. Reciprocal placements are not required for up to 30 students participating in the Georgetown University scholarship program.
Nonresident differential is the difference between resident tuition (operating and building fees) and nonresident tuition (operating and building fees).
