Free/Reduced-Price Meal Pilot Program Information for College Staff

The Free/Reduced Meal Pilot Program is intended to create a free and/or low-cost food program for students with low incomes. Four community and technical colleges were selected to participate in this pilot program. If you are an enrolled student at one of these four colleges, contact your college’s Benefits Navigator to learn more about accessing their free/reduced meal pilot program services: 

If you are not attending one of these four colleges, you are still encouraged to contact your college’s Benefits Navigator to learn more about accessing public benefits, emergency assistance grants, housing supports, and Basic Food Employment and Training.

Services and Eligibility

Services provided and eligibility for the program are different depending on the college you attend. If you are attending any of the four colleges listed above, contact your college’s Benefits Navigator to learn if you may be eligible to access services from this program. Colleges participating in the Free/Reduced Meal Pilot Program may provide:

  • Free or reduced-price food vouchers
  • Pre-paid meal cards
  • Access to free or reduced-price food or similar
