Former Clark College president, Vancouver Barracks commander Bob Knight remembered in memorial service

Family, friends and community members gathered Monday morning to remember Robert “Bob” Kennedy Knight, former president of Clark College and commander of the U.S. Army’s Vancouver Barracks. Knight died Dec. 14 at age 67.

Community Colleges of Spokane changes name, logo

After years of work, Community Colleges of Spokane has rebranded with a new name, logo, and mascot. Spokane Colleges, as it’s now called, encompasses Spokane Community College and Spokane Falls Community College, which will retain their individual names.

Governor appoints Heaton to PC trustees

Gov. Jay Inslee has appointed Carrie Heaton to serve on the Peninsula College Board of Trustees. Heaton, the vice president, risk management and security officer for Kitsap Bank, replaces board chair and North Olympic Healthcare Network CEO Mike Maxwell, who stepped down in July 2024.
