Residency Classification

This residency classification is available for eligible American Indian students.

Summary

Members of federally recognized tribes or tribes granted reserved lands within Washington state shall be coded as residents if they have been domiciled in Idaho, Oregon, Montana or Washington for one year prior to enrollment.

Students paying resident tuition (operating and building fees) under this classification and not domiciled in Washington for at least one year prior to enrollment, shall not be included in state enrollment counting.
