Basic Skills New Administrator Orientation (NAO)

At the request of the field, the Adult Basic Education (ABE) office provides training to help new ABE Program Administrators navigate the state and federal ABE systems and understand how they articulate with the community college system.

A face-to-face orientation to the system is presented by ABE Staff and experienced program administrators from colleges and community-based organizations. This generally takes place in conjunction with the fall meeting of the Council for Basic Skills (CBS).

Just-in-time, recorded modules are being developed to cover specific topics including; WABERS+ (the ABE data and reporting system), OGMS (Online Grants Management System), OBIS (Online Budget and Invoicing System), federal funding, financial reports, student records, I-BEST, and WorkFirst.
